Why We Created UAHCS
From the Visionary and Co-Founder:
As a healthcare professional, I know all too well the constant requirement we face each year: completing Continuing Education (CE) credits to maintain our licenses. These CE courses are often time-consuming, inconveniently in-person, or scattered across multiple platforms online. I kept thinking — why isn't there one place where this could be easier, more streamlined, and fully online?
And then a bigger idea struck me: Wouldn’t it be incredible if these CE credits could actually count toward something more — like a Master’s degree? That simple question sparked the beginning of the University of Advanced Healthcare Sciences (UAHCS).
With my background in practicing and teaching healthcare around the world, I’ve seen firsthand the critical role healthcare providers play in their communities — and the immense pressures they face. I’ve always believed that ongoing education should empower, not burden, the professionals who are already giving so much of themselves.
When I met Dr. Adrian Wenban, UAHCS’s co-founder, I found a partner who shared my vision: to transform how healthcare education is delivered. Together, we built UAHCS with the goal of creating something different — something better.
We designed our Master’s programs to be 100% online, fully flexible, and built for busy professionals. No deadlines. Start anytime. Learn at your own pace. And because cost is another major barrier, we offer our programs at a third of the price of most traditional degrees.
But we didn’t stop there. We partnered with respected, evidence-based, patient-centered CE and certification providers — allowing students to earn CE, gain Professional Certifications, and complete a Master’s degree simultaneously. Same time and effort, triple the reward.
There was one more issue I couldn’t ignore: many dedicated healthcare professionals don’t have a traditional undergraduate degree. Yet they have years — even decades — of real-world experience. In most academic settings, that experience goes unrecognized. At UAHCS, we’re changing that narrative. Our Bridging Program awards credit for prior healthcare-related work AND education, giving these professionals a new pathway to pursue a Master’s degree.
For me, this isn’t just about offering degrees — it’s about unlocking potential. Education should be a journey that fits into your life, not something that stops it. UAHCS exists to support you as you grow your skills, advance your career, and continue making a lasting impact in the communities you serve.
I’m proud of what we’ve built — and even more excited about where we’re going.
In service to those who serve,
