POLICY OVERVIEW

The University of Advanced Health Care Sciences (UAHCS) is committed to providing transparent and fair refund policies that protect both student and institutional interests. This policy applies to all students enrolled in UAHCS Bridging Programs and Masters-level programs delivered through our online international platform.


SCOPE AND APPLICATION

This policy applies to:

  • All UAHCS Bridging Program students
  • All UAHCS Masters-level program students
  • International students studying remotely
  • Students accessing programs from any global location
  • All tuition fees, program fees, and additional academic costs

REFUND SCHEDULE

Bridging Program Refunds

Before Program Commencement:

  • >30 days or more before start date: 80% refund minus administrative fee (US$150)
  • 1-30 days before start date: 50% refund minus administrative fee (US$150)


After Program Commencement:

  • <14 days after commencement: 25% refund minus administrative fee administrative fee (US$150)
  • 1-14 days: No refund available 


Masters Program Refunds

Before Program Commencement:

  • >30 days or more before start date: 80% refund minus administrative fee (US$150)
  • 1-30 days before start date: 50% refund minus administrative fee (US$150)


After Program Commencement (Prorated Basis):

  • <14 days after commencement: 25% refund minus administrative fee administrative fee (US$150)
  • 1-14 days: No refund available 

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Medical Withdrawal

Students who withdraw due to serious medical conditions (supported by medical documentation) may be eligible for:

  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs before 50% of program completion
  • 25% refund consideration after 50% completion on case-by-case basis
  • Option to defer enrollment to later start date without penalty


Financial Hardship

Students experiencing unexpected financial hardship may:

  • Request partial refund consideration with supporting documentation


Force Majeure

In circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, governmental restrictions, etc.):

  • Students may receive full credit toward future enrollment
  • Refund policies may be modified at the discretion of UAHCS


Academic Dismissal

Students dismissed for breach of Code of Conduct via academic or conduct violations:

  • No refund of tuition or fees
  • May be required to pay additional costs incurred

NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Application fees
  • Administrative processing fees
  • Digital resources and materials accessed
  • Additional examination and assessment fees (once commenced)
  • Graduation and certification fees
  • Third-party collaborator costs 

REFUND PROCESSING

Application Process

  1. Submit formal withdrawal notice via student portal or email to UAHCS_StudentServices@uahcs.com
  2. Submit a written withdrawal letter including reason for withdrawal and supporting documentation
  3. Return all physical materials (if applicable) within 14 days
  4. Account review by Student Financial Services within 10 business days
  5. Refund calculation applied according to policy guidelines
  6. Payment processing within 30 business days of approved withdrawal


Required Documentation

  • Formal withdrawal request in writing
  • Student identification and enrollment details
  • Supporting documentation for special circumstances
  • Acknowledgment of program withdrawal consequences


International Considerations

  • Refunds processed in original payment currency where possible
  • Currency conversion rates applied at time of refund processing
  • International banking fees may be deducted from refund amount
  • Additional processing time may be required for international transfers

BRIDGING PROGRAM SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Conditional Acceptance

Students accepted conditionally who do not meet final requirements:

  • Full refund minus administrative fees if notified before program start
  • Prorated refund if notified after program commencement

Program Transfer

Students wishing to transfer between modules within the bridging program:

  • No additional fees if transfer occurs before commencement
  • Standard withdrawal/enrollment fees apply after commencement

MASTERS PROGRAM SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Module-Based Modifications

  • Students may withdraw from individual modules and enrol in alternate modules while continuing in a program but this may incur additional charges and additional administration fees.


APPEALS PR​OCESS

Appeal Eligibility

Students may appeal refund decisions for:

  • Calculation errors
  • Exceptional circumstances not covered by standard policy
  • Administrative errors affecting enrollment status

Appeal Procedure

  1. Submit written appeal within 30 days of refund decision
  2. Include supporting documentation and detailed explanation
  3. Review by UAHCS Appeals Committee within 20 business days
  4. Final decision communicated in writing within 5 business days
  5. External review available through relevant educational authorities chosen at the discretion of UAHCS.

PAYMENT METHOD REFUNDS

Credit Card Payments

  • Refunds processed to original credit card
  • Processing time: 10-15 business days
  • Subject to credit card company policies


Bank Transfers

  • Refunds to original bank account
  • Processing time: 10-15 business days
  • International transfers may require additional time


Third-Party Payments

  • Refunds processed according to third-party provider policies
  • Additional fees may apply
  • Students responsible for any processing charges


DISCLOSURE AND TRANSPARENCY

Pre-Enrollment Disclosure

All students receive:

  • Complete refund policy before enrollment
  • Clear explanation of financial obligations
  • Information about alternative financing options


Policy Updates

  • Annual review of refund policies
  • 60-day notice of material changes
  • Grandfathering provisions for enrolled students
  • Clear communication of policy modifications
